Semarang, August 1, 2024 – The Fisheries Product Technology Study Program, part of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) at Diponegoro University (UNDIP), successfully conducted a High-Performance Computing (HPC) training session focused on Molecular Docking and Dynamics Simulation on July 16, 2024. The training aimed to enhance the skills of students and lecturers in bioinformatics and molecular computation, which are critical for advancing research in fisheries and marine sciences.
During the one-day workshop, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of HPC, the application of molecular docking software, and molecular dynamics simulations. Attendees also engaged in hands-on practice using relevant datasets and learned how to interpret simulation results. The training was held at the Bioinformatics Laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Diponegoro University.
This HPC training, with its focus on Molecular Docking and Dynamics Simulation, is expected to equip students and researchers with the tools to compete more effectively in the fields of fisheries and marine sciences. It also aims to foster impactful research that contributes to the advancement of science and technology in Indonesia.
