Semarang, March 26, 2024 – The Indonesian Fisheries Product Processing Society (MPHPI) Central Java Region, in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries Product Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Diponegoro University (UNDIP), successfully organized a webinar and the inauguration of its 2023-2028 board members. The event, themed “Quality Control and Safety Policies for Fisheries Products in Central Java,” was attended by academics, fisheries entrepreneurs, and government representatives.
The webinar, held virtually, featured speakers from the Central Java Provincial Marine and Fisheries Office and several experts in fisheries product processing. The speakers discussed various policies related to the quality and safety of fisheries products implemented in Central Java, aiming to support food safety standards and product quality for both domestic and export markets.
The inauguration of the MPHPI Central Java Region’s 2023-2028 board members was officiated by the Chairperson of MPHPI Central. The new board is expected to bring innovation and synergy to enhance the quality of fisheries products in Central Java. The newly appointed members are hoped to contribute more broadly to the growth of the fisheries sector through scientific and practical approaches, focusing on programs that improve product quality and food safety.
This event is also expected to strengthen the collaboration between academics, industry players, and the government to support the production of high-quality and safe fisheries products for the public. Additionally, it aims to enhance Central Java’s competitiveness in the national and international fisheries markets.
