The Department of Fishery Products Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Undip, trained 100 youths from 20 regencies and cities in Central Java. The activity is the development of fish processing-based youth entrepreneurship. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the Department of Youth, Sports and Tourism of Central Java Province. The venue will be in Solo from 23 – 25 August 2022. This activity involves lecturers, students and alumni of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Diponegoro University. Chef from Hotel Grand HAP also enlivened the activity by training and being a resource person. The benefits of these activities are expected that young people become entrepreneurs in the field of fish processing in their area.

The material given is processing technology and packaging of fishery products. To improve skills, the practice of making processed fishery products, such as catfish pempek, catfish naget, catfish pindang serani and catfish shredded is carried out. The resource persons and training instructors from FPIK Undip involved were A. Suhaeli Fahmi, S.Pi., M.Sc, and Dr. Abdul Kohar is assisted by several students and alumni who are already entrepreneurs in the field of fish processing, namely Inafish. Hopefully these activities can give birth to culinary entrepreneurs in Central Java.
