UNDIP Fisheries Products Technology Holds Public Lecture and Wins Various Achievements at Marlin Fest

Semarang, 20 September 2023 – Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) Diponegoro University (UNDIP) held a Public Lecture with the theme “Downstream Innovation in Liquid Smoke Technology and Energy Saving Ovens for Commercialization of Fishery Products.” This event was also a special moment by handing over the Marlin Fest Trophy to the winner of the competition who excelled while enlivening the atmosphere of FPIK’s 29th Anniversary with various activities. This Public Lecture will be held on September 19 2023, starting at 09.00 WIB to 12.00 at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences UNDIP, Semarang. The event presented two speakers who are experienced in their fields, namely:
1. Mrs. Prof. Dr. Ir. Fronthea Swastawati, M.Sc – As an expert in liquid smoke technology
and innovation in fishery products.
2. Mrs. Dr. Lilin Budiati, S.H., MM – Expert in product management and commercialization
fishery products.
This Public Lecture aims to disseminate the latest knowledge about liquid smoke technology and energy-saving ovens in order to support the commercialization of fishery products. The public lecture participants, especially students, are expected to be able to utilize the insights provided by the speakers to develop more innovative and sustainable fishery products. Apart from the Public Lecture, UNDIP Fisheries Product Technology also achieved various brilliant achievements at the Marlin Fest which celebrated FPIK’s 29th anniversary. These achievements include:

3rd Place in Tug of War
Best Tenant Champion

Overall Champion of Marlin Fest
This achievement shows that UNDIP Fisheries Products Technology does not only focus on academic learning, but is also active in various extracurricular activities that hone skills, leadership and a spirit of togetherness.
